Hespress, an online newspaper, learned from a well-informed source that Moroccan grain importers have recently added the Argentinian market to the list of suppliers of this vital commodity to the Kingdom.
According to the same source, this development coincided with the recording of rainfall in Moroccan regions, “which instilled optimism in the hearts of farmers”; but this will not curb the upward trend in foreign wheat imports until March, according to him.
The newspaper source explained that the move to Argentina was made recently after the end of the harvest and the start of local and international marketing there, noting that it is “a promising international market and will help Moroccan import plans until March.”
The spokesperson also confirmed that import operations will not decrease despite the rainfall being recorded in Moroccan regions these days.
