Zelenskyy said the conversation was"productive."

"Yesterday we agreed on a certain topic for today and reviewed all aspects of the situation. Protecting lives in our country, strengthening air defense and our resilience, as well as our long-range action," Zelensky said on social media.

"Many energy details" were also discussed during the conversation, as Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities in recent days.

Trump has not yet commented on the phone call.

Later, Zelenskyy said in a video address that the supply of long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine had been discussed.

"We see and hear that Russia is afraid that the Americans may give us the Tomahawk. This is a signal that this kind of pressure can work for peace," the Ukrainian president said."We agreed with President Trump that our teams, our military personnel will deal with everything that we discussed."

According to Axios, during a phone call on Saturday, Trump and Zelensky discussed the possibility of transferring Tomahawk missiles, which have a range of more than 2,400 kilometers, to Ukraine.
