Presidential candidate Vicky Dávila revealed some chats between Nicolás Petro and his ex-partner Days Vásquez, which are part of the investigation dossier being followed against the son of President Gustavo Petro for the alleged crime of illicit enrichment and money laundering.

The six conversations reveal alleged private actions during Gustavo Petro's then-presidential campaign, but which would have affected the public agenda of the then-candidate and current president.
The chats reveal the concern of President Gustavo Petro's son over some of his father's private behavior during his campaign visits to various municipalities in the country.
The messages between Petro and Vásquez mention possible heavy alcohol consumption and difficulties they may have encountered at the hotels where they stayed during the campaign. It also reveals the arguments they used at the time to excuse their absences from some of the events.
In recent months, a national controversy has erupted over whether the private acts of current President Petro's possible excesses should remain private or be part of a public discussion.

It should be noted that the messages are not part of any investigation and do not reflect possible criminal conduct.
It should also be noted that President Gustavo Petro is currently under investigation by the Commission of Accusations for previous allegations of alleged substance use problems, which continues to advance within the Commission. This process began in response to letters from Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva, in which he stated that the president allegedly had problematic substance use and that this prevented him on several occasions from suspending his international agenda.
Just this week, Leyva's testimony before the Accusations Commission for this case was released. While he stood by what he said in the letters and announced that he would provide evidence regarding the events in question, he did not retract his statement, as Chief of Staff Alfredo Saade claimed. He did not provide new information or provide evidence to support what he stated in at least four letters he sent to the president and published on his social media. In response, President Petro said it was a smear campaign against him.

This is a state issue. Here is the evidence the country wanted to know against Gustavo Petro. “Women, liquor, problematic parties, and more…”.
