The murder of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and Trump supporter who was shot at the University of Utah, continues to shock the community and occupy U.S. authorities, who are working against the clock to find the killer.

On Thursday night, the FBI and the governor of Utah held a press conference in which they released video of the shooter's escape after shooting Kirk and images of what the man was wearing when he did the deed. They are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the killer.

It was a brief press conference to update the investigation into the shocking murder of Charlie Kirk, which occurred Wednesday on the University of Utah campus. In addition to representatives from the FBI's Salt Lake branch, Utah Governor Spencer Cox also participated in the press conference Thursday evening, where he presented the findings.

Authorities released a video showing the university campus building from several meters away, presumably from a security camera, on whose roof the shooter was stationed , who ran along the roof and then climbed down the building from a corner of it, after which he ran through a grassy area that led to an adjacent street.

From there, the shooter's trail goes dark, and he was captured for nearly two minutes. However, investigative authorities released other images in which the killer is seen moving through other areas of the campus or surrounding areas. They captured him more closely and his clothing can be discerned: a light-colored baseball cap, a long-sleeved black T-shirt with an American flag emblazoned across its chest, consisting of the national flag accompanied by an eagle, dark jeans, and worn blue or gray All-Star sneakers.

The shooter's black backpack, with several pockets, was also captured on a security camera in a stairwell at an unspecified location. Authorities said they released the images so civilians could collaborate with the search and provide information that could lead to the killer's whereabouts. Governor Cox stated at a press conference that the reward for information leading to an arrest is $100,000.

Investigators also obtained clues, including a palm print, a shoe print, and a high-powered hunting rifle found in a wooded area along the shooter's escape route, along with a.30-caliber Mauser bolt-action rifle found inside a towel. However, the suspect's name and any motive for the killing were not released.
