Arrive tomorrow

(Monday) to the shores of Gaza - but Defense Minister Yisrael Katz makes it clear that this will not happen and announces that he has instructed the IDF to act so that it does not reach Gaza. According to his statement, he ordered"to take any means necessary to this end." The police said that apparently, after Israel takes control of the ship, it will be towed to the port of Ashdod.

"The State of Israel will not allow anyone to violate the naval blockade on Gaza - the purpose of which is first and foremost to prevent the transfer of weapons to Hamas," Katz said."To the anti-Semitic Greta and her fellow Hamas propaganda spokespeople - I say clearly: You should turn back - because you will not reach Gaza. Israel will act against any attempt to break the blockade or aid terrorist organizations - at sea, in the air and on land."

Meanwhile, private parties in Israel are organizing a"counter-flotta" that will "accompany" the ship in protest of the activities of Greta Thunberg, who has long since stopped working on environmental issues. The organizers said that this"Israeli flotilla" is scheduled to depart in anticipation of the arrival of the "Madeleine" flotilla from the port of Ashdod, with the financing being self-funded, and the fare being 250-300 shekels per person.

The flotilla is organized by environmental activists who oppose Thunberg's activities, who said that for them the move is both a statement about what is happening in Gaza and the anti-Semitic propaganda, and also as a protest against the climate hypocrisy of someone who was until recently an environmental activist.

For now, this is a single yacht being organized for the"counter-flotta," and only 10 participants will be able to board it. The police have already contacted the organizers, mainly to be updated on their activities. The protesters plan to accompany the flotilla to a certain part, not to the Gaza coast.

"We want to protest against the hypocritical activities of Greta and her friends," Maya, one of the flotilla organizers, told Ynet."As an environmental activist, I can testify to how hypocritical she is and how much damage she causes, and now it comes to us in the guise of a flotilla for Gaza. She is anti-Semitic and provocative. We plan to accompany her flotilla, and not get too close. We are not looking for a mess, but we want to say that we are here."

Flotilla activists prepare for confrontation: "Israel will not be deterred"

Meanwhile, the pro-Palestinian flotilla activists continue to give interviews to the international media, as part of their preparations for a confrontation with IDF forces. One of the activists, Yasmine Ajar, said in a video interview with the Qatari Al-Arabi channel:"We are 160 miles (about 260 km) from the Gaza Strip, we don't know exactly when we will arrive." She later shared a video in which she claimed that the ship was experiencing GPS disruptions: "If you don't hear from us in the next few hours, you will know that communication has been cut off," she said.

In an interview with Al-Arabi, she criticized"the countries of the world" for not acting against Israel, saying that they should be ashamed."Israel's armament must stop. Our message to the world is not to remain silent and to act to support the residents of Gaza," she said. As stated, the activists are preparing for the possibility of a confrontation with IDF forces, and are sending messages accordingly."We are in international waters, and Israel will commit a war crime if it hits us," threatened Ajar, who claimed:"Israel sent three navy ships towards us and we will see how things develop."

She added: "Netanyahu should stop his war in Gaza instead of trying to harm us. There are 12 operatives on board and we are all optimistic about our mission. Israel will not deter us or prevent us from breaking the siege on Gaza. We were attacked four weeks ago in international waters and no one moved. The siege on Gaza continues because the world is watching. We say to the world - don't worry about us, but about the residents of Gaza."

Another activist from the ship, Dr. Baptiste Andre, told Al Jazeera:"As a submarine, we have been flying over our heads at high altitude for hours. We are in constant contact with various parties, including the French Foreign Ministry. We are carrying a large amount of medical aid, and it is a symbolic amount. We demand an end to the blockade imposed on Gaza."

This morning, Thunberg said in a voice message sent to the Sunday Times:"It's pretty calm here, but the mood is upbeat." The activists plan to broadcast the confrontation with the IDF live."We're happy to do it - to set sail," added Thunberg, who set off on June 1 from Sicily along with 11 pro-Palestinian activists.

Hawaida Araf, one of the flotilla organizers, claimed in an interview with Al-Arabi that"Israel is jamming the signals. We are in contact with the ship's crew and expect further Israeli jamming and an Israeli attack."
