

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck Johor, Malaysia at about 6:13am on Sunday, Aug. 24, according to a statement from the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
“The epicentre was located at 2.5° North and 102.8° East with a depth of 10km, 5km west of Segamat," it said.
“The tremors were felt in many areas of Johor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, and southern Pahang.”
The department said it will continue to monitor this situation.
Johor chief minister Hafiz Ghazi said no casualties or property damage had been reported.
"The state government is monitoring the situation closely with the relevant agencies. My advice to the people is to stay away from unstable structures and always heed instructions from the authorities," he said in a Facebook post.
"The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) is maintaining close surveillance and will issue updates as needed,"
Onn Hafiz also called on the public to pray for Johor and the country to be spared from disasters.
