Tamás Sulyok reacted to the attack on Munkács. The President of the Republic expressed his deep sympathy for the injured in the rocket attack and wished them a speedy and full recovery.
A speedy end to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is in everyone's interest
he highlighted in his post.
The head of state is confident that the warring parties are able to see this and"thanks to international diplomatic efforts, they will soon put an end to this inhumane and senseless bloodshed."
The President of the Republic amended his post after barely an hour, instead of “the Russian missile attack”, he now only mentions a missile attack. According to our information the change was made because the President’s office had not yet received detailed confirmation of the circumstances of the attack, but Tamás Sulyok considered it important to be among the first to express his deep condolences.

As we reported, Munkács was attacked between Wednesday and Thursday. The airstrike hit the electronics plant and warehouses of a company in the city. A journalist claims that “the explosion probably released substances harmful to health.”
In addition to the attack on Munkács, a drone strike was also recorded in the settlement of Lipovec (Hárspatak) in the Huszti district. Governor Miroslav Bileckij reported this on his social media page. According to on-site data, there were no casualties, but the impact damaged a farm building, broke the windows of a residential building, and damaged an electrical network.
Update 11:40
Reactions are coming in to the modification of Tamás Sulyok's post, including Klára Dobrev, Márton Tompos and Péter Magyar. Péter Magyar, the chairman of the Tisza Party, stated that the"puppet" President of the Republic Tamás Sulyok should be "deeply ashamed of himself".
The DK chairman stated that “such a president is a disgrace.” He asked: “Does Tamás Sulyok feel how painfully embarrassing it is that he does not dare to state that the Russians were behind the rocket attack in Munkács?” He said that the head of state’s sympathy is hypocritical, because in reality he is only willing to share with Viktor Orbán, “what he is doing is the height of servility. This man is a disgrace!”
Márton Tompos, the president of the Momentum Movement, reminded Tamás Sulyok that the internet does not forget, and that he considers him “totally” unworthy and unfit for the office he represents. “He is no longer simply a bag of farts, but a cowardly s**t.”
