President Sisi

During the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit to discuss the Israeli aggression against Qatar, as follows:

Israel must understand that its security and safety will not be achieved through policies of force and aggression, but rather through adherence to international law and respect for the sovereignty of Arab and Islamic states.

It is time to deal seriously and decisively with the Palestinian issue as it is the key to stability in the region.

We will not allow peace efforts to fail, and we will all stand together in defense of Arab and Islamic rights, foremost among which is the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.

In this critical historical circumstance, it has become imperative for us to establish an Arab-Islamic mechanism for coordination and cooperation that will enable us all to confront the major security, political, and economic challenges.

The summit is being held at a very critical time and in light of the grave challenges facing the region.

To the people of Israel, I say: What is currently happening undermines the future of peace, threatens your security and the security of all peoples of the region, and obstructs any prospects for new peace agreements. It even sabotages existing peace agreements with countries in the region. The consequences will be dire, as the region will return to an atmosphere of conflict and the historic efforts to build peace and the gains achieved through it will be lost. This is a price we will all pay, without exception.

Do not allow the efforts of our ancestors for peace to be in vain, and regret to be in vain.

I assure the brotherly people of Qatar of Egypt's full solidarity in confronting the Israeli aggression.

The Israeli aggression against Qatar clearly reflects that Israeli practices have transcended any political or military logic.

We condemn in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression against the sovereignty and security of an Arab state that plays a pivotal role in mediation efforts with Egypt and the United States.

It has become clear that the aggressive approach adopted by the Israeli side carries within it a premeditated intention to thwart all opportunities to achieve calm and reach an agreement that guarantees a permanent ceasefire and the release of hostages and prisoners.

Israel's rampant arrogance and growing intransigence require us, as leaders of the Arab and Islamic worlds, to work together to establish foundations and principles that express our shared vision and interests.

The adoption by the Arab League Council at its recent ministerial session of the resolution entitled "The Joint Vision for Security and Cooperation in the Region" represents a nucleus upon which to build towards Arab and Islamic consensus.

Israel must understand that its security and safety will not be achieved through policies of force and aggression, but rather through adherence to international law and respect for the sovereignty of Arab and Islamic states.

Our message today is clear: We will not accept any attack on our countries' sovereignty, and we will not allow peace efforts to be undermined.

Our positions must change the enemy's view of us so that he sees that any Arab country extends from the ocean to the Gulf and its umbrella is wide enough to include all Islamic and peace-loving countries.

Establishing an Arab-Islamic mechanism for coordination and cooperation represents the way to strengthen our front and our ability to confront current challenges.

Egypt, as always, extends its hand to every sincere effort that achieves a just peace and supports the security and stability of the Arab and Islamic worlds.
