A cluster of centuries-old Hindu temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, has been at the centre of a deadly border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, which has left at least 16 people dead since July 24.

Thailand’s acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai warned on July 25 that cross-border clashes that have uprooted more than 130,000 people “could develop into war”.
