King Great Britain Charles III made a statement of support for Ukraine during his speech.

This happened during a banquet procession in St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle, where the President of the United States of America Donald Trump, his wife and other American officials are staying, reports Sky News.

"Today, as tyranny once again threatens Europe, we and our allies unite in support of Ukraine to deter aggression and secure peace," the monarch said in a statement.

At this point, the American leader just nodded.

The British monarch later mentioned Trump's efforts to bring peace around the world. The king praised his"personal commitment to finding solutions to some of the world's most complex conflicts."

Concluding his speech, the king noted that the relationship between the UK and the US has been repeatedly tested, but has"withstood the burden of our shared purpose and raised our ambitions for a better world."

"So, as we renew our ties tonight, we do so with unwavering faith in our friendship and shared commitment to independence and freedom," Charles added.

It is worth noting that during his speech before the start of the ceremonial banquet, Trump did not mention Ukraine.
