The King's Attorney General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal announced in a statement that on November 7, 2025, the prosecutor's office was informed of the death of Sion Assidon. As part of the investigation he is overseeing, he ordered an autopsy to be performed by a medical committee composed of three specialized forensic pathologists.

The prosecutor stated that the results of the investigation established that the death was due to infectious complications following a traumatic head injury, which resulted in a meningeal hemorrhage, cerebral contusions and a skull fracture.

The same source added that these findings reinforce the hypothesis that the victim fell down a staircase while pruning her garden, a theory corroborated by the initial results of the investigation. The public prosecutor's office will take the appropriate legal action once the investigation is complete.

The statement also recalls that, in accordance with the statement from the public prosecutor's office dated August 19, 2025 relating to Sion Assidon, who had been found unconscious at his home before being transported to the hospital, the public prosecutor's office had at that time given instructions to the judicial police to conduct an investigation into this incident, the conclusions of which had been made known to the public in due course.
