Expected during the current week, as the country is witnessing a severe heat wave across all parts.

Temperatures are expected to reach their highest levels across the country, exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in Greater Cairo during the day, with a maximum of 47 degrees Celsius in the south of the country.

Meteorologists advised citizens to avoid direct sunlight, stay away from poorly ventilated rooms, drink plenty of water, avoid spicy foods, and wear light-colored hats to protect their heads.

The Meteorological Department urged citizens to exercise caution when driving, leave safe distances between vehicles, turn on their headlights and the parking feature, and stop driving immediately in the event of poor visibility, to ensure the safety of pedestrians and passengers.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall in parts of central and southern Sinai and the southern Red Sea mountain ranges at intermittent intervals, amid active winds in parts of southern Sinai, the south of the country, and the Red Sea Governorate at intermittent intervals.
