A senior White House official said that a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is tentatively scheduled for the end of next week.

According to him, further details or logistics have not been fully agreed upon.
The official also said that the exact date of this summit is still unknown. In addition, there is no information whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be involved in the meeting between Trump and Putin.
Among other things, the official said that the Russians have submitted a list of demands for a potential ceasefire, and Washington is now trying to get approval from the Ukrainians and European allies.

Later, the US president said he considered it highly likely that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin leader Putin would agree to hold a joint meeting in the near future.
