Israel defies the ceasefire with an attack they say was aimed at terrorists.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) writes on X/Twitter that they have carried out a targeted attack in Nuseirat in central Gaza Strip.

The area includes the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The IDF further claims that the attack was directed at a terrorist from Islamic Jihad. They believe that the person was planning an attack against the IDF, but have not provided evidence for the claim.

Neither Islamic Jihad nor Hamas have commented on the attack. It is unclear how many people were affected by the attack.

Israel has continued to attack Gaza despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. According to health authorities in Gaza, 93 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel came into effect on October 10.

The figures from the health authorities have not been confirmed by independent sources, but have been considered credible by the UN and other aid organizations.

The IDF has previously said it has shot at people who have approached Israeli forces outside the so-called Yellow Line, which indicates Israel's division of Gaza into two areas.
