After the attendees harangued for a possible reelection, Petro said:"It will depend on the people. The only thing I ask is that they don't let the victories go to waste, which little by little, but daily we are achieving.

The President of the Republic led a public event in said plaza to discuss the 'Colombia Mayor' program, with which he seeks to provide better care to the country's elderly population.

Previously, the first president had written on his account on the social network X:"Government announces an increase in the coverage of the 'Colombia Mayor' amount, a step towards the solidarity pillar that will benefit three million elderly people living in poverty and vulnerability".
This Friday, part of the cabinet of the National Government, led by the director of Social Prosperity (DPS), Mauricio Rodríguez, was in the capital of Santander.
