At the beginning of the second half, the teams were tied at 2-4 points, with the Latvians scoring mostly from free throws, but after precise attacks by Jokic and Marko Guduric, the Serbs built an eight-point lead (50:42). After Guduric's precise long-range shot in the penultimate minute of the quarter, the Serbs' lead exceeded ten points. Starting the last ten minutes of regulation, the Latvian team was trailing by 56:67.
If in the previous quarter the Latvians failed to make any of their long-range shots, then in the first minute of the fourth quarter Dāvis Bertāns added another accurate shot from distance (59:67). Ognēns Dobrichs quickly responded with a shot from the corner, but in the following period Lomažs and Dāvis Bertāns made their shots (63:70) until Dobrichs was once again flawless from the perimeter.

With two and a half minutes left in regulation, Lomažs made a three-pointer, but exactly two minutes before the final whistle, Dāvis Bertāns was accurate again from the long-range line - 75:79. In the following attack of the Serbian national team, the rules were violated against Jokić, who was cool-blooded from the free throw line - 84:80. The remaining attacks were not realized, and the match ended with a minimal Serbian advantage.
