Representatives of a number of states, politicians, and diplomats have condemned Russia's massive attack on Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrinform with a link to their posts on social networks.

Russia's latest strikes on Ukraine, including on Kyiv, demonstrate a deliberate escalation by the Kremlin and a mockery of efforts to achieve peace, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Kallas wrote in X Network.

“While the world searches for a path to peace, Russia responds with missiles,” she wrote.

The night strike on Kyiv"demonstrates a deliberate choice of escalation and a mockery of peace efforts," the top diplomat added.

She stressed that Russia must stop the killings and start negotiations.

Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevost published a statement on theX network that Russia has no real desire to achieve peace.

“Another violent night in Kyiv. Civilian buildings, including the EU Delegation and the British Council, were again damaged.

"Russia once again demonstrates that it has no real desire for peace," Prevost wrote.

The Kremlin “chooses terror, destruction and lies instead of dialogue,” the minister added.

He expressed solidarity with the families of the victims, EU colleagues, British Council staff, and all Ukrainians"who survived this horror with extraordinary courage."

"Belgium expresses full solidarity. We will not remain silent. Ukraine will not be left alone," Prevost emphasized.

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal reacted to the Russian night attack against Ukraine on social network X

Putin once again proves that he does not want peace, - noted Michal.

He added that Russia's brutal nighttime attacks were directed against innocent civilians far from the front lines and resulted in their deaths.

The only language Putin understands is pressure. This means increased sanctions and unwavering military support for Ukraine, the Estonian Prime Minister stressed.

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola commented on the X network about the latest Russian strikes on the Ukrainian capital, saying they are part of senseless aggression.

"The staff of the EU Delegation are the voice of the EU on the ground in Ukraine," Metsola noted.

"Last night, their offices were the target of another indiscriminate Russian strike in this senseless aggression," the President of the European Parliament wrote.

My thoughts are with our entire team in Kyiv and with the brave people of Ukraine, who deserve to live in peace, - emphasized Metsola.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen demands that Russia immediately cease indiscriminate attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

Another night of continuous Russian bombing has hit civilian infrastructure and claimed the lives of innocent people. The EU Delegation in Kyiv was also damaged. Our Delegation staff are safe," she said on X.

She stressed that Russia must immediately stop its indiscriminate attacks against civilian infrastructure and join negotiations for a just and lasting peace.

The Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, commented on the latest Russian strikes on Ukraine, noting that they are part of a campaign of terror, not a military operation.

A night of terror in Kyiv. Sirens wailed for 12 hours straight. The attack also hit our building, the EU Delegation!!! Kyiv suffered one of the most massive strikes since the start of the full-scale invasion. Russian missiles and drones killed civilians, destroyed residential buildings and left behind death and ruins, the EU ambassador wrote on.

She reported that one of the strikes destroyed a building adjacent to the Delegation of the European Union, and the blast wave severely damaged the Delegation building, as well as the residential tower where many of its staff live, who were fortunately unharmed but stunned and frightened.

The war directly affected them last night. The war affected the European Union. And no one will convince me that this was not Putin's intention, - claims Maternova. No one is safe. Not families in their homes. Not children in their beds. Not those who represent the EU in Kyiv. Putin will stop at nothing. He bombs, destroys, kills. This is not a military operation. This is terror.

The ambassador reported that she is currently in Slovakia, where she is burying her mother, who died three days ago.

This makes me even more worried about the victims, their families and my dear colleagues. I share their pain. This war is a test that we must not fail, - wrote the Head of the EU Delegation.

She added that the EU supports Ukraine, and that together we must confront it.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budris called Russia's damage to the diplomatic buildings of the EU and the British Council in Kyiv not just an act of aggression, but a message.

Here are Russia's peaceful intentions for you. ... This is not just aggression, this is a message, - wrote Budris and added that our response must be decisive - tougher sanctions against Russia, faster arming of Ukraine, - he wrote on the social network X.

Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset stated that every (Russian - ed.) blow makes peace more and more distant.

We support the people of Ukraine in the most difficult times, when it matters most, Berse wrote.

The Norwegian Foreign Ministry noted the courage of the Ukrainian population, which is suffering from Russia's illegal aggression.

We call on Russia to immediately stop the war. Our response is even stronger support for Ukraine, the message says.

Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi expressed solidarity with Ukraine and added that our prayers are with the victims and their families.

Moldova strongly condemns the horrific attacks on civilian infrastructure (including the EU delegation in Ukraine) committed by the Kremlin last night, Popšoi stressed.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna called the night attack on Ukraine a deliberate attack by Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the civilian population of the European capital, which resulted in the deaths of sleeping children.

"Europe cannot look away. We must do more: strengthen sanctions, cut off all channels of financing this brutal war, and provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs to defend itself and win," Tsakhkna concluded.

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned another wave of Russian attacks on Ukraine, which have affected civilian objects and civilians.

“Putin ignores every call for diplomacy and peace. Instead, he chooses mass violence again and again. This time in Kyiv, where civilians are being searched under the rubble. We must increase pressure, including through sanctions, and strengthen our support for Ukraine,” the Dutch Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on X.

Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans, who will also temporarily serve as Foreign Minister, said that Putin chooses terror over peace and called for increased pressure on Russia.

“Again, large-scale Russian airstrikes — about 600 drones and 30 missiles. Again, high-rise buildings are destroyed, people are under rubble, innocent civilians are killed. This demonstrates the cruel reality: Putin chooses terror, not peace. We must increase pressure on Russia for the sake of a lasting peace,” Brekelmans said.

Russian military aggression knows no borders, so only through force can peace be achieved in Ukraine, believes Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defense and Space, who made a statement on the X network.

Russian aggression knows no borders, no red lines. Only through force can we achieve peace in Europe, he wrote.

In response to Russia's massive attack on Kyiv, Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger called on Europe to take united action to further support Ukraine. The Austrian minister made the corresponding call on her page on the X social network.

"During the latest missile attack on Kyiv, the office of the European Union delegation was also damaged - this is an unacceptable attack on a diplomatic institution. Europe must now act as a united front - with continued support for Ukraine," Meinl-Reisinger wrote.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani expressed support for Ukraine after the Russian attack.

"Another night-time attack by Russia on Ukraine using drones and missiles, resulting in the deaths of innocent people and damage to several buildings, including the EU Delegation building. I express my condolences to the entire people of Ukraine and my solidarity with the EU institutions in connection with this serious act of violence," Tajani wrote on social media X.

According to him, the Italian government is at the forefront of the struggle to achieve a just and lasting peace in order to guarantee the security of Ukraine and all European citizens.

With its night attack on Kyiv, Russia is giving a clear response to Ukraine's desire for peace, so the world must increase pressure on Moscow, the German Embassy in Ukraine said on the social network X, publishing a video of extinguishing a fire in a house destroyed by a rocket.

Russia gives a clear response to Ukraine's desire for peace: more than 10 killed, including at least 3 children, destroyed residential buildings, damaged EU Delegation to Ukraine. 9 hours of aerial terror. Russia is the only aggressor. We must increase pressure on Moscow, - the diplomatic mission noted.

The Slovak Foreign Ministry condemned the attack on Kyiv, but did not mention that it was carried out by Russia. The department noted that civilian infrastructure was targeted during airstrikes on Ukraine at night, which led to new civilian casualties, including children in Kyiv. The statement also mentioned damage to buildings - in particular, the office of the EU Delegation, where Slovak employees also work.

Slovakia consistently condemns attacks on civilians – whether in Ukraine, Gaza or elsewhere. Such actions undermine efforts to achieve peace, which must be pursued urgently and fairly in our region, or in the Middle East region. Peace should never be taken for granted, - said a message on the social network X.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni believes that Russia's night attacks on the Ukrainian capital demonstrate who is on the side of peace and who does not intend to believe in the negotiation process, reports ANSA.

"The intense attacks on Kyiv last night demonstrate who is on the side of peace and who has no intention of believing in the negotiation process," she wrote on the social network X.

Meloni added that the thoughts of the Italians are with the Ukrainian people, civilians and families of the victims, including children.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stresses that the world cannot be naive towards Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin after another nighttime Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported on  by the NATO mission in Ukraine.

"We cannot be naive about Vladimir Putin. And last night is proof of that... innocent civilians and civilian infrastructure were once again under fire as a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine," Rutte said.

The NATO Mission to Ukraine expresses its deepest condolences to the victims and their families. We also support our international colleagues from the EU Missions to Ukraine and the British Council in Ukraine who were affected by the shelling, the post states.

Despite the constant bloody shelling, Russia will never be able to deprive Ukraine of its sovereignty.

Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand wrote about this on her page on the social network X.

"Last night, Russia launched a horrific attack on Kyiv, aimed at killing civilians, including children. Putin continues his brutal aggression, trying to destroy Ukraine's sovereignty, which will never happen," Anand noted.

She emphasized that “Canada supports Ukraine.”

As Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney noted on his social media page, the Russian nightly shelling of Ukraine shows that Putin is continuing to try to subjugate the Ukrainian people.

“Last night, Russia carried out another brutal shelling of Kyiv, deliberately targeting civilians and killing more than a dozen people, including children. By killing when it is time to talk, Putin is demonstrating in the most chilling way that he continues to try to subjugate Ukrainians to his tyranny,” Carney said.

He stressed that Canada, together with its allies, “is trying to stop the killings and achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, backed by reliable security guarantees.” “Last night’s shelling only strengthens our resolve,” the Prime Minister noted.

As Ukrinform reported, as a result of the Russian Federation’s strikes on Kyiv on the night of August 28, the number of victims increased to 45 people, 10 people died.
