Missionary deputies from the Renewal Front voted against the presidential veto on university funding, supporting public education and university autonomy.

The province of Misiones became a key player today in the defense of public education in Argentina. National representatives from the Misiones Renewal party supported former Governor Oscar Herrera Ahuad's request and voted against Javier Milei's veto of the university financing law, clearly demonstrating their support for public universities and the professional development of young people.

The quartet composed of Alberto Arrúa, Yamila Ruiz, Carlos Fernández, and Daniel Vancsik, aligned with Herrera Ahuad and the historic leadership of Carlos Rovira, took a position that is decisive in the direction of educational financing in the country. Their decision was closely followed in Congress and throughout Argentina.

"Today, from the Renewal Party, we took a fundamental step in defending public education in Argentina. Our representatives from Misiones voted against the presidential veto on university funding, reaffirming our commitment to public universities and the autonomy of higher education."

Our national representatives joined former Governor Oscar Herrera Ahuad's request and reaffirmed the importance of ensuring that young people can receive training, graduate, and develop professionally. Our decision, supported by Alberto Arrúa, Yamila Ruiz, Carlos Fernández, and Daniel Vancsik, demonstrates that the Misiones Renewal is acting responsibly and with a vision for the future, placing education as a priority on the national agenda.

With this vote, we make it clear that in Misiones we believe in public education as a driver of opportunity and progress, and that we remain committed to the development of our youth and the strengthening of our universities."

During a recent political event, Herrera Ahuad had publicly asked his party's representatives to support universities to"guarantee that children can graduate, pursue professional careers, and have opportunities in life." Today, the vote confirmed that commitment, consolidating the provincial party that governs Misiones as a decisive player in national politics.
