Iran fired five ballistic missiles toward Israel overnight Friday, triggering sirens in central Israel. Although emergency services reported a fire in Holon, there were no casualties, and no injuries were caused by the missiles.
Shortly after, the Defense Forces reported attacking missile infrastructure in Iran, with explosions reported by residents in cities such as Tehran and Isfahan. The Israeli military said that during the strikes, Aminpour Joudaki, a senior commander in the Revolutionary Guard Corps who commanded the second unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) brigade of the Iranian Air Force, was killed.
Amid the ongoing escalation of attacks, Iran said it would be willing to resume talks with the United States if President Donald Trump ordered Israel to cease its offensives, although the regime insisted it would not give up its nuclear program.
President Masud Pezeshkian also threatened a “crushing” response to the Jewish state.
In parallel, Iranian and European officials held talks in Geneva, which began tensely but evolved into a more positive tone, although Iran maintains its refusal to suspend its uranium enrichment capacity.
