Machado's Nobel Prize Win and Dedication to Trump

Trump's Nobel Prize Snub and White House Response

In recent months, Trump has said that he has stopped six or seven wars. However, commentators, the media, and leaders in many places, including in the countries between which, as Trump points out, he has ended wars, view these claims as at least exaggerations.

On the eve of the announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Trump repeated his claim, saying that the first phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip reached this week is the eighth war he has ended.

But on Thursday he added:"Whatever they do, it's good. I know this - I didn't do it for the sake of it, I did it because I saved a lot of lives with it."

Nobel Prize experts in Oslo had insisted before Friday's announcement that Trump had no chance, saying his"America First" policy contradicted the ideals of the Peace Prize, as set out in Alfred Nobel's 1895 will.

It was also reported yesterday that Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 450 drones and more than 30 missiles on Friday night, with energy infrastructure being the main target.

A child was killed in Zaporizhia, more than 20 people were injured across the country, Zelensky wrote on the Telegram platform.

"The liquidation of the [consequences] of Russia's strike on the energy sector continues at many critical infrastructure facilities. A cynical and calculated attack - more than 450 drones and more than 30 missiles against everything that ensures normal life and that Russia wants to take away from us," the Ukrainian president stressed.
