Russia made the announcement ahead of a summit in Paris where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders will discuss security guarantees for Ukraine. The summit, co-chaired by the leaders of France and Britain, is aimed at putting pressure on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin after failed attempts to broker a ceasefire in Ukraine.
"The ideas of the Kiev leader, which are essentially a copy of the initiatives of European sponsors (..) are absolutely unacceptable," said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Speaking at an economic forum in the Russian Far East, Zakharova called the security guarantees that Ukraine is hoping for"a springboard for terror, provocations against our country."
